    Colette, I've actually heard that it is a pretty upscale place to stay, but I have never been inside.

    Wow! From some of the reviews I read, some complained that it didn't have a real front desk (whatever that means) and they have a generic continental breakfast. Since both of those things don't matter to me, I figured the hotel would work for me. The rooms on their website look nice and I thought it would be neat to wake up and see the cruise ship out your window

    Colette,I think thats a great idea.You wont have to worry about getting tranportation to the terminal.You will already be there.

    That's what I thought! When we go to Galveston I always forget about the Strand. There are some fantastic shops and restaurants there. And for $89.00 a night, I could not pass it up!

    The port isn't hard to find, since there is only one road in and back out, right off I-45. There are signs before you exit, so you won't be able to miss it.
