Thread: Galveston/Galena, AK?

I'm a bit confused. My RC confirmation for my cruise next May says the port is Galena, Ak? Is this the same as Galveston?
And on the subject of confusion, what's the difference between the Houston airport vs the Houston Hobby airport? And which one is better? (if one is).

Never heard of Galena, AK - but I can attest that it is nowhere near Galveston, TX, which is a port of departure for RCI.

Houston's larger airport is George Bush Intenrational (IAH) which is about 35 miles from Galveston. The closer airport is Houston Hobby (HOU) which is about 20 or so miles away from the port.

Most of the major airlines fly into IAH, while Southwest (and a few others) fly into Hobby. If you can fly Southwest, Hobby is closer and there is less traffic.
