The boards have been acting funny lately. I thought it was my computer but i guess not.
I have 4 working days left. mannn seems like forever.
I keep checking the weather where we are going and the extended forcast.
Looks like beautiful sunshine and warm temps all the way. Keeping my fingers crossed for no rain.
Cant wait to meet you. Ifeel like we are friends already.

Hi Diane.

Did you see on the other board that there are only 2 formal nights instead of 3? That means I don't have to pack my evening gown. Not like it takes up too much room (it's longer than wider) but the closets on the ship are not very tall and it drags on the ground in the closet. Then again if I can find another outfit to wear on formal night without having to bring an extra informal. Hey I just thought of something. I'm picking up some "sailor" pants from Sears tomorrow. If they fit I can take those and wear it with one of the tops I was going to wear on an informal night.

Diane, after I retire from my job, I'm going into the travel planning business - finding trips for people, helping them pack, etc.

Two days of work left (plus this weekend - I had to bring work home

) - two tanning sessions to go. I will be able to relax once I get into our hotel room in San Juan.

Hey Diane. Just an update - there will be no "sailor" coming with me on this trip. I cannot believe you order the size of pants you know you fit in only to drive quite a ways to pick them up, drive home, try them on, and then have to drive all the way back because they don't fit!!! I swear there is someone out there who hasn't got a clue when it comes to sizes!

I've been out most of the day - I feel a nap coming on!

sorry sue i get that all the time when i order from sears. I always end up sending them back. For some reason I dont think i have enough cloths. I am going to tell you what im bringing and you tell me if it is enough.
I have 2 formal dresses.
1 sun dress
2 pairs of shorts and 4 tshirts
1 skirt and top
2 bathing suits
1bathing suit cover up
10 panties and 3 bra
2 formal shoes
1 pair sandles
running shoes which im wearing day of flying out
any thing else you think or should i add more?

Hi Diane. The other problem with those pants I ordered was that if I had to go to the bathroom I would have to know about a half hour before hand just to get all the buttons undone.

Do you plan on wearing your clothes twice? That is, the formal dresses, skirt and top, and sun dress. If so, you only have enough clothes for 8 nights. The first night will be a casual night - you will be wearing to dinner what you arrived in (they can't do anything about that because you won't have your luggage yet) I would pack another pair of shorts just in case the ones you are wearing get soaked if you wear them on a day with water involved (but then again we are on a cruise ship so there's water all around us). I would find another top for your skirt.

I am going through my list of clothes. I think I have one too many outfits for nighttime than I need.

I don't worry too much about tops to go with shorts. If I don't pack enough I'm sure I can find some on the islands.

I am going to send you a picture of me in the outfit that I will be wearing on Thursday in case you are walking around and you see me.

as for what im going to wear i think im going to have to rush through my stuff again .. It will be cold when we leave here on the 23 so not thinking i wont be wearing shorts. Probly a white pair of jeans and a jacket. would be great to see what your wearing i will send you the same.. hopefuly one of us can spot the other.
I think i will pack another pair of shorts or somthing just in case.

Hi Diane. I've finally decided what I am taking. Here goes:

1 evening gown (I decided to take it)
1 formal skirt with 2 tops
1 skirt with 2 tops (informal nights)
1 pair black pants and top
1 pair of white lace capris and top
1 pair of white pants with 2 tops
1 white skort with 2 tops
1 brown skort with 2 tops
4 pairs of shorts - 8 tops
3 bathing suits (2 2-pieces, 1 1-piece)
Bathing suit cover up
1 pair black formal sandals
1 pair white mules
1 pair of Oxfords (or deck shoes - that's what I call them)
1 pair of semi-flat slip ons
1 pair of flip flops (double as slippers)
1 pair of "water" shoes
11 pairs of panties
4 bras (2 are strapless)

Then there's the essentials:deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, moisturizer, suntan lotion, aloe vera gel, tooth brush, tooth paste and floos, soap (I can't use "hotel" soap), camera & film, passport, tickets (air and cruise), snorkel gear.

All of this will be going in suitcases. I read in the cruise contract that they have a 200 pound baggage limitation. 200 pounds!!!! The airline only allows 50 pounds per checked bag!

Don't forget to pack something for you to wear back to the "Frozen North" on March 5th!

geesh i guess maybe im underpacked after all.. Well I guess a quick look is in definit need. Our snorkle gear weighs alot so im thinking we will pack one in each suit case. We will only be taking a x large bag and a reg one. for the two of us. glad its light clothes we have to take. I will be getting all our paper work together for a final look .. probly tonight when i get home from work.
Then i will finalize our bags tommmorow. looks like we are going to get some rain tommorow.. going to be a big wet mess with the snow. I got your picture and will be looking for you. So if a stranger pats you on the shoulder you will know its me.

Only one more day of work for me - YAHOO!!!!

Wednesday, though, will be a busy day - get the cat ready for boarding (i.e. get his stuff together like his bed, his blanket, food, etc.), then I have to pack; Mom comes around 2:30. Not looking forward to getting up at 1:30 on Thursday morning though to get to the airport for about 3:30. It will all be worth it because once I step foot into the hotel room I can finally relax and consider myself officially on vacation.

I got your picture as well. If we don't meet on the first night, maybe we will hook up on the 2nd day - someone said something about meeting up when we are in Tortola.

I hope we can meet. I have to work today and tom then i get my hair done on thursday and final tan. everyone says i look tan enough.
We leave at 4 in the morning on fri. long day i can imagin. We have to drive into windsor then catch the rob Q bus to detroit. Once i set foot on boat thats when my vac starts. i will probly be so tired by the time we get there. hubby is packing tonight its about time. I will go through my stuff once more to make sure all is there.
Get some good sleep tonight you will need it.
