Thread: Celebrity X Galaxy 25th Feb 2008 (very very early booking)!!

Thought I would start this one off, but I am probably the only person who has booked so far in advance (how sad am I).

Anyone out their done the same ???????

Are you crazy for booking so far in advance?? Absolutely not!

We are sailing on the Galaxy on Feb. 23, 2007 and we booked this cruise in August 2005.

Are you doing the 10-night Southern Caribbean sail or the 11- night?

Well I am glad it is just not me we are doing the 11 night southern carribean cruise !!

Cannot wait dont want to wish my life away but sometimes you cannot help it !!

We are 4 months aways from our cruise and we cannot believe how fast the time has flown by since we booked in August 2005.

We usually book 8-12 months ahead of time for our cruises. I take this time to research the islands we will be visiting, saving money for the cruise, and talking to fellow cruisers like yourself about cruises and their experiences.

Thank you for responding this will be my first cruise experience and really looking forward to it, I felt a bit apprehensive as some reviews for the Galaxay on different websites were not very good and thought to myself what have I done, but on this website it seems to get positive feedback, you will always have some issues when you go on holiday but the world is not perfect and these things happy.

So I am happy to say I seemed to have made a good choice (fingers crossed).

Only 16 months to go lol !!!

You have to remember that some people like to complain about the smallest things. The Galaxy is about 10 years old, so no it's not big like the newer ships, and yes there is probably some wear and tear, but we all show a little wear and tear as we get older.

I read a post from someone who just got off the Galaxy and they said the ship is as beautiful as it always has been.

I hope we keep this thread going. I'm seriously looking at
the galaxy 11 night cruise in this time frame and would love
to sail with some CLF members.
BTW, Galaxy is sister ship to Mercury, my favorite ship.

Yes, we are still going on the 11 day, Galaxy in Feb. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer (if I can!). We did a southern 14 nighter on the Zenith a few years ago, so we have been to several of the islands, including your beautiful Barbados!

If we keep this thread going and I do book my group and maybe some other CLF'ers, this could become a monster thread. That would be so neat to get a bunch of us on a cruise together.

Bumping this up for you guys. I won't be on this sailing but we have been invited on a group cruise on the Galexy, 11 night on January 14. Would have been nice to sail with you all.
