Now how did I forget Shirttail Charlie's? Well as JV said, 15th St Fisheries is in a great spot by the Intracoastal Waterway at the end of 15th St.

So how would you rate the Fish Restaurant in comparison to Burt Nad Jack's (when they were open)? I saw that Burt and Jack's was finally torn down.

Yonnie, I've been to neither of them, so I can't compare the two. Maybe JV will see this post again and respond.

Burt and Jacks was closed down after the 9/11 attacks, when the Broward Sheriff's Office closed the port to the public to keep it secure. Yes, it's torn down now.
Personally, when I came to Ft Lauderdale in the early 80s, I was extremely surprised that the port was so accessible to the public, because in Trinidad, it's not that way. The way is is now, where only cruise ship passengers, employees and other authorised personal can enter, is the way it is in T'dad.

Sounds like we have loads of Restaurants to choose from, did anyone watch Rachel Rays program $40 A Day? They had one episode on Fort Lauderdale and they talked about a restaurant that was on the beach and at lunch they had a huge menu and every meal which included sides was $3.00, friends told me yet they can't remember the restaurant name. Any of you know which one it is by name? Would appreciate it!!

I have to go out to Ft Lauderdale beach soon to see if Bubba Gumps is open as yet, or if it's later this month.
