Just had lunch outside at Casablanca on Fort Lauderdale beach. We go there about once a week. There are always people there who are in town for cruises. Today I met a couple who had just gotten off the Coral Princess. I highly recommend the food and the view.

The Wolfgang Puck someone mentioned has been closed for some time- in the same shopping center as Bimini Boatyard ( one of my favorites) is also Bravo Italian Restaurant, which I also like and it had a chicken primavera recipe printed by diner request in today's food section of the paper- I love their Veal Sinatra too!

If you can wander further away than that, some otehrs are Sea Watch north on A1A almost to Pompano and Pa Degennaro's- a great Italian place just south of Commercial on A1A- or go to Aruba Beach Cafe for very casual food served right on the Ocean at Commercial Blvd. We have a new Bubba Gumps along the beach and even though it's chain folks think it's much better food and service than the otHERrs in the chain.

Give me some ideas what you're looking for and I'll try to help- I've lived here 35 years!

is totally AWESOME!!!! The owner is from CT and their pizza is true NY style... in other words REAL pizza. Their sandwiches were delish too... We had lunch there sandwiches and such and later that evening we had Pizza delivered... we were at the Fort Lauderdale Grand... now the Hilton Grand...

Also... we took the water taxi around and had supper Friday night at the Briney Irish Pub... fabulous!!!! The assistant on our water taxi recommended it! Everything on the menu too!!!! All 8 of us had a great time...and the prices were reasonable, portions huge and GREAT drinks!
