My transfer company is only about $12 each way...cheaper than the cruise lines...

We did not have any issue in FLL. Taxis are everywhere. No problems.

The Hotel we usually stay at uses a service for Airport and Cruise Ship shuttles. On the way to the ship the driver will give you his company business card and offers his services post cruise. They asked us to call them when we are leaving the ship. The wait is usually between 5 and 10 minutes. Last year we had the owner of the company pick us up. The charge was $12 pp.

Yes we had the same thing happen but decided to just use a service at the port to go to the airport. No waiting and it was the same price. Either way is effective though.
