I have lunch there once a week, if you have any questions.

Please tell us a little about this place - BOTH of you!

I'm looking for someone to fru, but I need a bit more information. Why do I want to put it on my list of places to go in Ft Lauderdale?

Harry's was a bar that was getting a little dirty. It closed for several weeks and was given a facelift, much like a cruise ship in drydock. They took up the flooring and replaced it. Made it much brighter, fresher and cleaner, but took out most of the TVs for sports. They are putting in pool tables on one side. It's a watering hole that's not crowded for lunch. We see a lot of pre-cruisers and post-cruisers in there, but it's just bar food. A convenient location in relation to the port, the airport and many hotels. It's probably better than I've made it sound, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

The menu is mainly burgers and sandwiches, plus basic seafood. It's not expensive by Ft. Lauderdale standards. The best sandwich is the cajun chicken philly and the grouper fingers are good. Decent clam chowder, although Southport and Kelly's Landing have better and both are in walking distance.

Just talked to my friend who got off the Legend this morning.

Most of out groups usually stay in that neighborhood so Shipwreck is a convenient meeting place for those staying at Holiday Inn Express or Amerisuites.

Last year was daily drink specials & $10 buckets of beers. With each bucket, you received a free appetiser of your choice. Now drinks are 2 for 1 & 10 cent wings.

Good location for liquor store purchases & several grocery stores located within walking distance for mixers or snacks.

Jemingway: Is the Irish Pub still down the street? We had lunch there last year.

Yes, it's still there and hasn't changed.
