    Ft. Lauderdale Hotels

I'm going to start working on this early. We will be sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale on our next cruise and we like to go down a day or two before the trip. Does any one know of any good hotels in the area to stay in? We don't want to go through the nightmare we had at the hotel in Miami. It looked good on paper and that's about it. There was nothing good to say about it. We stayed at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago, but it was too far from the terminal and anything else.

We have stayed many times at the Embassy Suites on 17th Street both pre and post cruise.

They have shuttle service for the airport and the pier. If you ask for a room on the 11th or 12th floor facing east, you can see the ships.

We have some rooms booked at the Super 8 in downtown FLL for next Saturday. It's rather new and it looks really nice online. I will remember to give you the down low in a couple weeks.

Emassy Suites also has a tiny gym, outdoor pool, free managers cocktail party each evening from 5:30 - 7:30.

And free breakfast every day -- eggs made to order, pancakes, French toast, cereals, rolls, muffins -- and the list goes on.

I'm also going in a day early in March- I chose the Best Westerm. Ft Lauderdale Inn. The price wasn reasonable and its less than a mile from the airport and pier. They have a pool and restaurant. Hope its okay. Looks ok online. What cruise are you going on?

While we've stayed there as well, be careful about the time of the year. For our next cruise (3/21/07 arrival), the cheapest rate available is $279/nt, $261/night over the internet.

I've stayed there also. I've attached a pic of the Caribbean Princess leaving.

It's also in walking distance of Outback Steakhouse.

We're going to Ft Lauderdale 4/6 and we decided to stay at a hotel through Princess which was $69. for 1st and 2nd and 3rd and 4th would be $39. ea. We have mostly doubles so it would be $146 per night and its cheaper for the second day. The hotel is the Renaissance Plantation its a Marriott owned hotel, its beautiful.. Looking forward to our stay.
