Thread: Easiest way from I-95

Can someone tell me the easiest way to get from I-95 to Amerisuites on 17th St. Someone gave us directions last year that had us zig zaging all over the place. I just feel that there has to be an easier way. Many thanks.

Directions from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood Airport: Take US 1 North to SE 17th Street. Make a right on 17th Street to SE 10th Avenue. Right turn on SE 10th Avenue.Directions from downtown Fort Lauderdale: Take US 1 South to SE 17th Street. Make a left on 17th Street to SE 10th Avenue. Right turn on SE 10th Avenue.

From I 95 north or south, follow the signs to route 1, then follow the streets to 10th or 17th.

I never thought to mention that we will be driving down I-95 from SC.

I 95 to 595 east will take you to route 1 too!!

Your Welcome, we drive over from the west coast of Florida and have stayed at your hotel, I liked it there!! We went over 75 across the state and that goes right into 595, and route 1 is right off of that, not sure if you would be north or south on rt. 1 but you can tell by the street #'s and just a quick turnaround will fix it if it is the wrong way!!! Have a great cruise!!

Yes, this is the faster route if arriving during peak rush hours.
When you exit I-95, follow the signs for I-595 East Airport.When you get to the end of I-595, follow signs for Route 1 Ft. Lauderdale. Go north to SE 17th Street, and make right turn.(Miami Subs at the corner) You'll see the AmeriSuites sign on the right. Make another right turn into that street(I believe that is 10 Ave).

You can also exit I-95 at Broward Blvd, turn left at end of ramp, go to US 1, turn right to SE 17th St, then left on 17th, and AmeriSuites is on the right side. Make another right turn into side street and you're there.

The latter route is better if you are arriving after peak hour, as you won't have to drive a little further south to I-595, then east to Route 1, and back north to SE 17th St.
