Thread: Looking for hotel in Lauderdale...

Hi Everybody,
Well its time to book another hotel in Fort Lauderdale, but this time we want to be closer to Los Olas Blvd. We stayed at the recommended pre cruise hotel last time. It was the Renas. Hotel in Plantation and it was great but to far from anything. We did have adventures taking the city bus, but do not want a repeat. We need to be economical and I wanted to hear your opinions on the Best Western Oceanside Inn. Costco has a deal for $98 which includes a hot breakfast, I found a deal on travelocity for the embassy suites for $209- but and its a big but, we're traveling with a bunch of older teens and early twenties with small budgets. If my kids weren't going I would say heck I'm staying at the Embassy Suites, rather than a 3 star hotel. Well if you know about this hotel can you give me a heads up, I heard it was updated recently and its a two minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the water taxi. Best Western Oceanside Inn is at 1180 Seabreeze blvd. can you tell me whether I did a good job reserving this hotel.

Forgot to mention that the stay is only for one night in December before our cruise on the Emerald Princess.

You did a good job reserving the Best Western Oceanside hotel. The info on this hotel is correct. It's also a 2 minute walk to the Jungle Queen, a river boat which cruises the New River. Many tourists stay there.

The Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel which is near the Best Western is a great property. I've also heard many people reccommend this Marriott property. The Ft Lauderdale Grande was recently refurbished. There's also the Sheraton Yankee Clipper and Trader but they may be slightly pricer as is the Hyatt Pier 66.
