Freedom of the Seas - test - Steaks

I read on CC where the Freedom of the Seas is testing the removal of steaks from the everyday dinner menu.

In it's place is the steak from "Chops" for which they are charging $14.95.

First I've heard of this! Maybe our RCI Guide can get some info for us.

    ummm

a little confused here... is the better steak free or do we got to pay? I have no problem paying for a better steak, but not as a forced pay or I lose a dinner option...

Yes it will! Guess, they're not doing lobster either ....

Seem like Chops was either $20.00 or $25.00 pp when we were there in January.... Wonder if they've dropped their price?????

The steaks in Chops were great. Not so with the ones they served in the main dining room ....

This is news to me too. I will find out what is happening with this and get back to you.

    Chops are $25 btw.

Boy, that poor NY Strip sure makes for lots of confusion.
The story is as follows; someone got of the Freedom OTS and in a review of the cruise she wrote they offered the NY Strip that is served in Chops as an alternative for a charge of $14.95.
I doubt very much RC will remove the steaks on the DR menu.
I have heard nothing of this being a trial.

Same thing on HAL -- the ones in the dining room -- you need a HACK SAW!!

Joe has so many crowns that he can't even chew the Dining Room steaks on HAL.

Oh, Yonnie ....If you think the steaks in the Dining Room on HAL are bad, they are worse on RCCL!

Why do you think we had dinner in either Chop's or Portofino's almost always on MarinerOTS for 14 days this past January!

A Positive NOTE: We really enjoyed both Chop's and Portofino's! Also, LUNCH in the Dining Room was good!
