    Good morning anit28---welcome to CLF

I am moving your question to the Royal Caribbean board where they will have answers for you. I haven't been on Freedom myself, so I'd also like to know the procedure for those activities.

Come on over to the Introduce Yourself board and let's get acquainted. Here is the link--> Introduce Yourself!

They will let you know when to get your tickets for the ice shows. They normally offer three shows during the cruise and tickets are very popular. They will give out all the tickets, so make sure that you go get them when they first become available. You can check with the Purser's Office when you get onboard and they'll advise you when tickets will be available.

As for the flowrider, there's a place near the back of the ship where you can sign up - it's a first come, first serve basis.

The ice rink at Studio B also doubles as a secondary show lounge Tickets are free, but they need to be obtained in advance; check your Compass for details on your sailing.

The tickets are for the ice SHOW, free skating will be listed on the Compass, a paper put in your Cabin every night for the following day listing all activities!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

And be aware, that if you want to ice skate, the skates are just terrible. More like ski boots, no movement in them at all. My ankles were killing me. But I still had fun

We only watched the flowriders. Too old to get that bruised up

The Freedom is a great ship...You will enjoy it.

As mentioned you can check the compass and find out when the tickets will be available for the Skate Show. We had 2 people go for our large group to get the tickets. Be warned you need to get to the show early. We could not all sit together and had to divide up since we went late.

The Flowrider, you do not have to have tickets. You have to sign up for it and sign a release on a daily basis. They will give you a bracelet like you get when you go to a night club. My kids kept all of there's on the entire cruise. Girls should wear a one piece bathing suit or you might lose your bottoms. Yes we witnessed this happen. Also on the release you sign you have to agree you have not had anything to drink. The best day is the first day, embarkment day. Pay attention to the compass because the offer special times for various age groups or even experience.

    Welcome to CLF, enfranco.

A great way to find out if ohter CLFers will be onboard the Freedom with you is to start a 'Roll Call' thread, with the NAME of the ship AND the DATE you are sailing in the title. We have a special Roll Call section of the board just for those special threads.

Here's the link to the area for Roll Calls for the Freedom of the Seas:
    http://www.cruiselinefans.com/freedom-seas/

I just checked, and so far, we don't have a thread for that particular date, so it would be great if you started one!
