Char, the lunch buffet is always pretty crowded. Especially the first day..it's a zoo. I think 1pm was a decent time to go!
We loved the ice show so try to get tickets for that. Take your time exploring the ship as there is so much to see. And it's a big ship! We had wonderful meals at Chops, well worth the extra money.

hanna, is the buffet on the Freedom set up with the different service islands or is it the cafeteria style serving lines? I love the ships that have the island set up! So much easier to get what you want without the long, snaking line!

Love the ice shows! We'll get tickets from the Concierge ASAP.

Char, not cafeteria style, but not Radiance style either. It's two rooms full if I remember correctly. Of course the ship is so huge they need two. The food was good in the buffet

Another thing, the promenade is really nice at night. We had pizza (free) and deserts late at night. I wasn't too fond of their stores though. Same ol stuff.
