Anneli we like Paris, have visit many times.

The cheapest way around Paris is the Metro, it is simple to use, and fairly cheap, even cheaper if you use the information from the link below.

Most people head for the Eiffel Tower, also you get fantastic views from the top. Last time we went many people were waiting to enter the elevator to the first level of the tower, we walked up the many stairs and caught the elevator from the first level. Walking between the structures of the tower was a bit hard but an experience, also cheaper. The views from the top of the tower were stunning. Sorry was not so snap happy with my camera then as I am now.

    Will tell you more later.

    1. Coeur-Sacre-Basilica

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Coeur-Sacre Basilica (French: Basilique du Coeur-Sacre, pronounced -fr), is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France. A popular landmark, the basilica is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city. Coeur-Sacre is a double monument, political and cultural.

    2 - 3. Notre Dame

Notre Dame Cathedral is arguably the most stunning gothic cathedral in the world-- and is undoubtedly the most famous. Conceived in the 12th century and completed in the 14th, Notre Dame Cathedral was the very heartbeat of medieval Paris. After a period of neglect, it recaptured the popular Imagination when 19th-century writer Victor Hugo immortalized it in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Both these cathedrals were worth visiting, the dome of Sacré-Cœur was absolutely stunning.

    4 River Seine

Lovely having a cruise down such a famous river running through a fabulous city.

    5. Refeshment.
There are many places where liquid refreshment can be had the one shown is one displaying the work of an artist. My small drink Diane is showing is just one of anything you can purchase alcoholic or non-alcoholic also tea/coffee at sit down roadside places. The alcoholic one shown was delicious. (Only had the one)

    The Palace of Versailles

The Palace of, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles in the Île-de-France region of France. In French it is the Château deVersailles.

When the château was built, Versailles was a country village; today, however, it is a suburb of Paris, some 20 kilometres southwest of the French capital. The court of Versailles was the centre of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Anci

The Chandelier room is spectacular. One of the NCL ships we sailed on the Main Dining Room was of the Palace of Versailles.

Paris is a wonderful city to visit, there are many churches, art galleries, museums and of course if you have any money plenty of shops to spend it on. On a budget use the metro and spend what you can afford.

I have been three times on business trips so not had a lot of time for sightseeing.

What I did enjoy was walking the streets and soaking up the atmosphere.
Walking up the Champs Elysee at night magical.
One night we went for a meal and show at the Moulin Rouge , really good but expensive and risque.
For a spectacular night view of the Tower take the metro to Trocadero as you come out the Tower is hidden from view but at a certain point it is revealed with all it's lights and the view is spectacular.
Napoleon's Tomb in Les Invalides is impressive
Wish I had pics like Norman though. Maybe I have some at home.

You've already gotten some great advice. It's a magnificent city and you definitely have to spend some time traveling around. As was mentioned, easy and cheapest way to get around is the subway.

But you have to see the usual tourist attractions and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

We've been there twice and would love to go back again - so much to see and so much to do.

Wonderful city, but it is a bit expensive, like any big city.

Anneli as you are travelling to Paris by coach, hopefully you will be taken a tour of the city in your coach. We travelled last time with a local coach company in the UK, and for our tour of Paris we picked up an International guide in the centre of Paris. Paris is an International City, so have little doubt Estonian will be spoken by some of the guides.

Our guide also escorted us around some of the famous sites when we were off the coach.
