it's difficult. just one of those places that there isn't a "must see", but the streets and the buildings give it a unique ambiance.it's a good place to go and wander.

the camargue is unique in europe. wild horses , wild cattle, flamingoes and gauchos all set in marshland equiv to your nat. parks.. capitol of region is ST MARIES DE LA MER .they also do bullfights, but they don't kill the bull.it's about 1 hour from marsailles.
ARLES is a roman town with the best preserved "collesium" left in the world few other roman bits, also two of the best restaurants in france.

Wow! It would be hard to choose between those two, though I think I would end up going for the one with the Roman ruins, because that's unlike anything we can see here in the US... A few indian burial mounds are as old as it gets here!
