Palais de Justice, Paris France - Question - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Forum, Reviews and Chat From Real Cruisers

We are looking at staying in Paris a few days on our way to our Med Cruise. There is a good deal on a hotel that has good reviews; but, it is right near the Palais de Justice. Information on the internet is not clear on the whole complex it is in (Department of Justice or something like that).

"the Paris court of large claims (tribunal de grande instance) and the associated Paris correctional court; as of 2007 there are discussions so as to their possible relocation in another location; "

The "Paris Correctional Court" bit worries us a bit. Will we be right next to an actual criminal court and/or jail?

it's the central criminal court, but it only hears appeals. been to paris 15or more times. a good safe location with good transport links around ehe city

oooh, you should make sure to go to the most famous patisserie/ restaurant/cafe in paris. its called La Durée on the champs des elysees. it soooo good. one of my favorite places in the world!

Cool, thanks for the link. The hotel we picked is actually at the Cluny Square area (Intersection of St. Germain and St. Michel) in the Latin Quarter. Have RER and Metro stops right outside our hotel. We got a 3 day package that included breakfast.
