Le Havre to Paris

Has anyone done this as an excursion or private tour? I've gotten names of private tour companies but am wondering if we'll be running around Paris like crazy tourists. Help!!!!
Gert

Dear Gert,
can you formulate in different mode this phrase, please?I don't understand.
I visited Paris 6 times and maybe, I hope to help you.

Hi minniemouse

The question that I have is...should I book an excursion to Paris with the cruise ship or would it be wiser and easier to book an independant tour driver to Paris. The drive from LeHavre to Paris is 2-1/2 hrs. That would take away 4 hours from our day.
Will I be able to see the major sights of Paris in 8 hours?
Thanks
Gert

We had the option through the ship of booking either a guided tour or just transportation to Paris. Easy way to get there and allowed us to do what we wished and not see things we'd already seen. Worked out great for us!

Gert, oh, yes....in 8 hours you can see the major sights.

For the possibility to book an excursion with the cruise...Uhm..I don't know but when you arrive in Paris...It's very simple to goround this city by foot and by metro. There are 15 metro lines. This city is good service.

In this time, The Louvre , you can visit it in exterior; it's very imposing.

You can visit by foot and metro (I consider 8 hours total) :

* Tour Eiffel ( 2 hours climb and line inclueded);
* metro for Montmatre and to go for a walk for Moulin Rouge - Sacre Coeur ( 2-3 hours)
* metro for Notre Dame (1 hour);
* metro for Louvre and to go for a walk for place de la concorde, jardin, champ elysées as far as Arc de Triomphe. (2-3 hours).

This is an example.

bye

Thank you

I can now make an educated decision. If I can get the ship's ride to Paris, it just may be the way to go (well the least expensive LOL)
