    Question Who sails where?

It seems like everyone sails out of Fort Lauderdale and/or Miami. I will move to the northern end of Florida (less than two hours southwest of Jacksonville) so I want to know which lines and ships sail out of Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, and Tampa and where they usually go to. I know I can just go to cruise line websites, but would prefer to see a list of all cruise lines at those ports.

I know you cant say this on the dark side, but hopefully I can say this here?? I just go to VTG and click on the city I want and it will show me every cruise out of that particular port. Some of the more popular ports you have to click on a date range if there are too many to display on the one page.

You can also click by ship to show everything for that ship to compare prices for each date at a glance.

Not suggesting anyone book thru them, just a quick way to see things sorted different ways, by ship or port.

Carnival is the only sailing out JAX, RCCL has two Port Canaveral ships, NCL has one, Carnival will have three, and Disney has two.

Not sure about Tampa, but I know Carnival sails out of there with Legend.

Looks like I may end up sailing on a cruise line I originally ruled out (Carnival) to a place I originally ruled out (Caribbean) if I want to go to a port by car instead of plane. Of course, I always thought I will never go to Las Vegas, Utah, and Hoover Dam, but those three places made up my 2006 spring break vacation, so maybe I have been wrong for many years.

Andrea .... Please don't give up on the Caribbean! Lot's of rich history if that's your thing. A Western Caribbean will have port stops where you can go to Mayan ruins. Also, you'll be able to take cruises to the Panama Canal out of Florida.

Florida is a very convenient place for folks to live who love to cruise.

Maybe I will treat a Caribbean cruise as a cruise to nowhere and just stay on the ship if I can't find mansions, gardens, aquariums, parks, and museums. I always thought I will never go to that area. Not because I hate beaches and shopping - I like that too - but to do the same thing all day long, it would be boring for me.
