Orlando Epcot Food and Wine Festival

For those of you who come into Orlando to get to your cruiseport destinations, I thought a little information about the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot might be helpful. Hubby and I have gone for the last 4 years in a row and really have a great time. Current ticket price is $73.80 pp (where did they get the 80 cents from?)

Wines range from $3-$7, most are around the $3 range. I won't post all the food prices, as they vary, but here is a really great website for perusing what is offered along with the cost of each item:

As you can see, if you went to each and every booth along the festival, it can get very costly (we only did that one year and barely dragged ourselves back to the car!

I just thought I would include this year's gameplan for us at the Festival, including my favorite dishes and things to do.

    New Zealand
Scallop Vegetable Slaw & Lemon Oil $4.25
    2 wines $7.50
    Greece
    Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki $4.00

Mussels with Roasted Garlic Cream $3.75
    Australia
    Seared Barramundi $4.75
Grilled Lamb chop with Wine Reduction $5.75
    Japan
    Spicy Tuna Roll $3.75
    California Sushi roll $3.50
    Tuna Sensation $5.95

The Boardwalk near the Grand Floridian. Tip: There is this amazing Bakery on the Boardwalk that you can go to for a quiet breakfast while sitting outside on the waterfront. During the evening, the Boardwalk comes alive with street performers, reminiscent of an old New England boardwalk.

Candy stores, arcades, and Disney art galleries dot the boardwalk, with street performers and a pianist on a bicycle (piano built into the bike)! I even won a small stuffed animal at one of the games (though my husband says he let me win). Each game costs about $3, but you are practically assured to win something Wedding pictures were being taken by a bride and groom near the boardwalk, and was a beautiful site to see

They have a bar located right on the boardwalk, so you can sit outside and enjoy a beer or cocktail while watching the ferries come to the hotel and pick up/drop off guests from Epcot. There is also an espresso bar there, for those who might like an after dinner coffee.

The best part is that parking is free if you are dining on site. Valet is $12 at the Grand Floridian.

Here's the photo, boardwalk bakery is in red on the left:

Ack, will post photos later, camera is dead and am charging the battery
