...high rip current risk in effect through this evening...

    * timing...the surf zone will be hazardous all day.

    * impacts...gusty northeast winds will drive a rather strong
southward flowing current...which will lead to dangerous rip
currents near piers and jetties. Additionally...heavy breaking
waves will be capable of knocking you down and making you
    susceptible to ocean currents.

    Precautionary/preparedness actions...

there is a high risk of rip currents...longshore currents and
dangerous breaking waves. conditions will be hazardous even for
    strong swimmers.

heed the advice of lifeguards and the beach patrol. Pay attention
to flags and posted signs. Never swim alone in the ocean.

    Affected counties:
In florida: brevard, brevard, northern, brevard, southern, indian river, martin, st. Lucie, volusia, volusia, coastal.
