But as for myself, I would worry if my kids didn't check in with me on time. They can check in and then go back out, if it's not too late. If I am worrying about my kids, I definitely would not be able to relax.

I am so in agreement with you. Think about it, there's some 3,000 or so passengers on the cruise along with many crew members. And most of them are complete strangers to you.

As a Mom of former teens, I think this contract is great. The rules are reasonable and allow for plenty of freedom while keeping the teenager safe. And yes, I would enforce the rule of making them stay with me for 24 hours should a rule be broken (or maybe even longer depending on the severity of the rule broken). The other thing I would add is that I agree with getting them a soda package but if they abuse it and get their friends a drink, the onboard spending account is subject to deduction. Of course, that would work for one of my "former teens" but the other one would have gone through their weekly budget the first hour on the ship!
