Welllllll, kinda, LOL Dickie will be 70 in August and we sail with our kids your age. From our point of view, no we probably aren't going to enjoy what you enjoy!! Been there done that!! Pick a place to meet through the day, and if they would like to join you, they can, like going into a port, and also at dinner talk about all you have found!! Print out deck plans, or give them a brochure to find on the ship that they would like to see on their own!! Show Mom the shopping area!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I have when I was younger. It was ok but I was in that age where you didn't really want to "hang out" with your parents you know.

Chuck, be sure to remind her to watch the daily paper for the sales during the week, and especially the last couple of days in the shops!! Also to take cash into port, not to use CC's!! It has happened, when you buy something and charge it, to come home to find two bills and one is quite large!!

We sailed with my parents this past April...which meant grandparents too. It was great. Cruising is a great family vacation, as there is so many different things to do together, or separate or nothing at all, lol...

We always had dinner together...it was awesome!

I have cruised with Mom on three different cruises. She is one of the kids. A lot of fun. The last girls family cruise I brought my mother in law and daughter too. Suzanne had a couple of cousins to do her own thing with. At dinner she was with us and her Grandma's. She enjoyed it as did I.

After my mother died in Oct, 2003, My sister and I took our Dad with us on the Carnival Destiny and Valor cruise in '04 and '05.
In 1999, my sister took my Mom on a Mediterrean Cruise on Renaissance Cruises R1 cruise ship.

Last year we cruised with my parents for their 50th anniversary they had so much fun they are coming with us to help celebrate on a cruise my in-laws 50th anniversary in April 2007. We learned alot with my parents, the more the better. We had cards with their wedding pic on it sent it to all, family and friends with all the info on the cruise, our group no. ect.. Many friends and all the family came, no matter where we went on the ship there was someone we knew, it was great!!! We ordered an anniversary cake months before the cruise, and made them wear a LED badge which flashed STOP AND WISH ME A HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY. Everyone did stop them and they finally took them off because they could get anywhere without being stopped every two seconds. The waiters even sang to them. We decorated their door w/posters blown up of them their pic which said happy anniversary, we decorated the hallway the elevator the lobby it was the talk of the ship. Kids were stopping them and saying I know you. It was so fun. You will have fun with your parents we are so glad we did this because doctor said we were going to lose my mom to cancer three months after the cruise. Well we had great surgeons and my moms fine now and looking forward to helping celebrate on the Carribean Princess. Enjoy Enjoy the time you have, of course they want you to have fun too. When inviting their friends mean someone is alway hungry when they are, and wants to sit in the shade we they do, they had fun watching the grandkids enter all the contest.
