What cruise line has the best kids activity program?

Of course each cruise line touts the fact that they have extensive kid's activities programs on board. However, in your personal experience, which programs have your kids liked and why? And which ones were they not that thrilled with, and why?

It depends on the kids! Some kids like the Disney experience, others like the energy on Carnival or RCL or even Princess.

If I were still a kid, I would have to go with Celebrity. Their explorer program combines learning and fun and they really cater to the kids treating them as adults while still promoting the wonder of youth.

My daughter was on Carnival for her first three cruises (at 23 months -- too young to participate in the kids' program, 3 years and 4 years) and on Princess for the next three (at 5, 7-years-and a week old, and 8).

She seems to give the edge to Carnival as being more kid-friendly. I guess it's the gym equipment, big movie screens, etc. in the kids' room.

I have to agree with Neal

I loved Celebrity's kids program. My only complaint was that some of the fun kids stuff conflicted with fun stuff to do as a family like the production shows.

But the kids just had a great time. We also had lots of quality family time together too.

Having taken our 4 grandchildren on 3 cruises, RCL, X and Princess. They said the program with X was the best. More activities and able to eat with others kids.
The hours for Princess was very limited.

Having been on Disney and Carnival given the choice my daughter chooses Carnival hands down. She says the Camp staff with Carnival inter mingle with the kids as to where she felt the staff on disney over saw what the kids were doing and not participating as much. And this coming from an 8 yr old with 4 curises in 24 months under her belt

My kids have liked Carnival the best so far. (out of RCI, Carnival and Disney)

My littlest dd will have first hand knowledge of the Princess line this January...so we will see.

My preferences and carnival and princess as they seem to cater a lot more to children or at least from my experience. They have a ton of activities and include the older kids in some extra activities.
