Useless cruise agents! anyone used Cruise Answers?

Hi all,
I am a long time cruiser but have just had the worst cruise agent experience ever, which is unusual, as in 20 years of cruising all the people I have used have been great. As a matter of interest has anyone ever dealt with a mob called "Cruise Answers", believe me based on my experience they definitely dont have the answer! I would be interested if anyone else has used Cruise Answers or if I have just been extremely unlucky. I only came across them via a Daily Mail cruise offer, anyone who saw that offer will probably be aware that it sailed out of Barcelona on Sat last 14th Nov, No I am not writing this on board the Celebrity Century, unfortunately I am at home writing this, to be fair I can't blame Cruise Answers for that, I had an accident at the last minute getting my cases out of the attic!! This put the tin hat on the whole debacle of our cruise booking experience we had just endured with the agent, On the morning of the cruise we still hadn't got our tickets, bearing in mind that it was booked and paid for towards the end of Sept!! We have never received any paperwork from Cruise Answers, infact the only proof that we have paid anything is because it is shown on my last bank statement! My next problem with our friedly agent is to get a booking invoice and a cancellation from them for our travel insurance Company. I suspect that we will have to get Celebrity to kick them up the rear end again like they did before the cruise, they were very helpful, and as we have before, we will happily cruise again with Celebrity. I'm afraid I suggested to Celebrity that Cruise Answers shouldn't be allowed to deal in cruises, they diplomatically said they couldn't comment! I could rant on like this a lot more but I can feel any one reading this far, begining to drop off so I will close and would be interested hearing if any one has had a siimlar expeience with our agent or any other that should be avoided.
regards John

If so, why and what compensation were you given by the cruise line for having to do this?

After my bad experience with the service on the Zuiderdam, I am wondering if all Hal ships have the same service, or are some ships better than others? Same with RCCL, Princess, Carnival, etc? Have any of you experienced better or worse service and quality on ships from the same line? Just wondering....

Let say I go on 5 Carnival cruises, then I want to go on a cruise with Princess. Would I get the same perks as I would if I cruised on Carnival itself? Since they belong to the same corperation. Just wondering.

Oasis life boat

I am new to this site and trying to fumble my way through posting the following:
I have seen 2 interior pictures of the Oasis life (rescue) boats. It appears to have many 3 leged fiberglass type tables with markings on top of them. The floor/walk area also has markings on it as well which would indicate where a person would sit (on the floor area) with their legs in the corresponding (parallel) well area.

Any pictures or ideas how they situate the cruise passengers so they get 370 people in a single boat?

Thanks
Capt. Ralph

My husband and I are going to be on RCCL's Radiance in a couple of weeks. For formal night he will be wearing a kilt with a Prince Charlie jacket (this is considered as formal as a tux). A traditional accessory for this is something called a Sgian Dubh. This is basically a small knife that is tucked into the sock. We are concerned that RCCL will consider this a weapon and not allow it on board. Does anyone have any experience with this?? We have been on previous cruises where men have had them. I believe everyone is getting more restrictive on such rules though. If we were to bring it and it was deemed to be an unacceptable item would we get it back at the end of the cruise (it is not an inexpensive item)? We are flying to the port so it will be in our checked luggage I am assuming this will be acceptable to the airlines, correct? Thanks in advance!!
