We are booked on explorer april 09 and march 2010. On our march sailing i upgraded from a junior suite to a grand suite. I was wondering if anyone has ever stayed in the grand suite and what info you have to offer.

The GS category is a very nice cabin with about 100 SF more space than a JS. The only problem I have is that they are all on deck 10 and right below the pool area on deck 12.
I would rather do a hump JS on deck 9.

We stayed in a Grand Suite onboard the Brilliance of the seas. I loved the cabin
The size of the cabin is the same as onboard the Explorer. Its a wonderful size cabin with plenty of storage space, a full size sofa and 2 lounge chairs. The bathroom is large with a bath tub and shower. 2 sinks and again plenty of storage space.
You also get bathroom aminities which are refilled as you used them.
They include; shower gel, shampoo, vanity kit (nailfile, showercap, cottonbuds) conditioner, 3 soap bars and more that I cant recall at the moment.
There is also a dvd and cd player in the suite. You can either bring your own or borrow from the concierge lounge.
There are also coffee and tea making facilities in the suite with coffee and tea refilled as you use it.
The suite also come with binoculars for you to use during your cruise and bathrobes and slippers as well.
Our Grand Suite was also on deck 10 but under the solarium so we didnt hear any noise from above.
When you are in a Grand Suite you also get 1 large bottle of water on embarkation day. On formal nights we recived a plate of canapes and petit fours.
You can also choose what kind of duvet you want.
Since you are in a suite you get THE Key to the concierge lounge where you can have (proper) free coffee, breakfast and free drinks at night, usually between 5pm and 8pm. You also get to use the concierge to book various appointments etc. The concierge lounge is also just a nice quiet place to either read or talk.
I loved being in a Grand Suite and its going to be hard to go back to a regular balcony cabin
It is well worth the extra size!!!! I would go for a GS instead of a JS anytime.
