My first venture to Tallinn was in 1992. They had just achieved their liberty..without Bloodshed because of the courage of a Muslim CHechen Soviet AF General who refused the order to open fire. He was subsequently killed in the Chechen war...which still goes on..

My last Visit to that wonderful city was last May....

In between was a great deal of change..and all for the better.

There is much to relate if any one is interested.

Thank you..This makes me recall the very first cruise I took out of Helsinki...1994 I think on the Konstatin SImonov.

Helsinki to St Petersburg 3 nights 4 days $250.00..and that was when the dollar was week ...only American on board...really an interesting experience.

I will be stopping in Tallinn in July, 2008. Haven't really thought too much about it, but will no doubt have some questions as the cruise approaches.
