Guide Books for the Baltics/Scandinavia? - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Reviews and Chat From Real Cruisers

Does anyone have any recommendations for good guide books for the Baltics/Scandinavia?

I know that the Rick Steve's books are popular. Are they good? Are there other good ones?

I purchased and used the Rick Steve's book for Amsterdam last year and found that it had great recommendations. I also loved his book on Sweden. I also had an Eyewitness Guides, but they are too heavy to travel with almost with the new weight restrictions. They have beautiful glossies and you can learn a great deal reading them.

Rick Steve's book for Scandanavia was our bible for all the ports, except St. Petersburg, which wasn't included

but we learned of all the things to see and do on our own and inspired us NOT to take a single ship excursion!!

We could find' Rick Steve's books, but a lot of people on board had them! We used the "Insight Pocket Guides" for Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm. I liked them too!
