Terry, I can certainly understand that sentiment. With all of the history of Berlin, it is a shame to only be able to see if for such a short amount of time. Perhaps a longer visit is necessary in order to see it all and take it all in. Perhaps if I take an itinerary that includes Warnemunde, I'll choose to go with something more local so that I can 1) save some money and 2) save Berlin for a longer trip. Its just so hard choosing excursions sometimes because there is so much to do and see that you want to do as much as possible, while still trying to save your pocketbook. Part of me feels like it'll be a shame to go all the way there and not go to Berlin, but then part of me thinks that 5-6 hours in Berlin could never do it justice.

Alisa!

Just to let you know. We stayed in Rostock/Wanermunde. BUT several people we met went to Berlin and they actually felt the trip was worth it! The train station is directly across the street from the ship and they got to see quite a bit of the sites in Berlin. It was great to trade stories with them!

I don't think there's a way you could regret that decision Alisa!

It's a long day Alisa, but you are young and full of energy!!
I'd say go see Berlin.
That said, Bob and I stayed in the Warnemunde area and just loved it. An 11 hour tour is just too long for me generally. We had a lovely German lunch and wandered the city which is a German seaside resort. Lots of fun to wander through. People were very friendly.

Sher -

Its just so hard to decide. So much to do and see and so little time in which to do it!

Alisa-
Just look at this cruise as a "taste" of the Baltic. I never thought I'd return after I visited in 2000, but did again in 2006!
You have plenty of time to travel back to the Baltic to explore further better to get a nice look at some of it, then run through all of it!!

Very true!

I never thought I'd ever go back to Alaska again, but I've been there 3 times now.

You're right, I should look at this as a sampler.
