    Thumbs up Eurodam 9/21/08 NE/Canada NYC-Quebec

The Eurodam will be sailing for a few cruises during it's inaugural season in 2008. It is to be christened in Rotterdam I believe, will sail a few Baltic itineraries and then will be doing NE/Canada cruises.
DH and I have booked the 10 day 9/21/08 cruise from NYC to Quebec. It leaves out of NYC on a Sunday, it's a great day to get around in Manhattan generally and it should be pretty close to fall foliage in the NE.
I am hoping there are others that can join us on this inaugural season trip for an unforgettable 10 day cruise!

My DH and I are looking forward to joining you!

This cruise is perfect for us since we will need to be in New York for a few days next fall anyway.

So far, my TA has a cabin on hold someplace (?) on the ship. She is on a cruise (group cruise, she's working) so we've been dealing via e-mail. Also, I have the always dreaded jury duty -- US District Court -- for the remainder of the week and DH is at The Masters.

TA says we're on the ship ... and I can pick out our actual cabin and do the insurance next week. It's a long way off BUT I'm excited!

    Lulu-
Great to hear that you guys have reserved a cabin! With 19 months to go, it's not gonna fill that fast, though I suspect it will be one of the first of that itinerary to fill due to the timing.

I hope your duty in Federal Court is brief, maybe the defendants will all find Jesus and plea out on this fine Easter week.

I am sure your husband will enjoy the Masters' a great deal, alot more than you'll enjoy your duty.

Sher .... I think my TA has us in an outside (not a balcony) cabin. Thinking of just leaving it that way since it's going to be COLD?

KK .... Sher and I both hope you'll help us out on this thread because you know so much about our port stops! We're OK in Boston but after that ... I'm lost! My DH and I have only been to Ontario and also a couple of quick business trips elsewhere in Canada so we're clueless. I don't think Sher (who cruises lots) has ever taken a NE/Canada cruise either .... We're going to NEED your help!

Lulu- We've decided on a VD cabin, Lower Promenade on the Port side. I am a fresh air freak so Bob and I generally have a balcony.
You know they do have those new "T" cabins up on the top deck that sport floor to ceiling windows and no balcony, but I like to cruise a bit closer to the waterline.

P.S. Yes we surely do KK, we've never been to any of the ports before!!!!!

Thanks for the invite to this thread.

I have a 2008 planner so I know your schedule.

I don't think that you all can use your booking numbers this far out so I will try to see what HAL is offering this year for some o your ports. We don't do all the ports you do.

KK .... Thanks for "hanging out" with us! Very nice of you to do this!

Sher .... We BOTH need to ask Ziggy to add us for "our" cruise on the Bon Voyage thread. Ziggy is so sweet to take the time to keep up with the Bon Voyage thread ... and I love seeing where everyone is going!

In 2004 we prebooked Acadia National Park with lobster lunch at the Ponds. We had heard so many wonderful things about that meal. But about 3 weeks before the cruise we received an e-mail that the tour was cancelled. Last year I read about others doing that tour and we thought we would do it this year. But upon looking over the final description, lobster lunch is not offered at the Ponds this year.
