Looking forward to a vacation in Delaware this weekend. We will meet some Equinox cruisers in Wilmington on the way and then spend a week in Rehoboth Beach.
Lee
Schplinky/Lee, I was at the meet and greet in Wilmington and missed chatting with you. I've seen you on the boards for more than a couple of years and would have liked to put your handle with your real name and face then. Looking back over Bob's website, you and Mike were the guys who had the Oasis brochure from the announcement in NYC, weren't you. I was Rick of Rick and Anne(CC)/Ranne (CLF), but without Anne. Sorry I didn't get more time to chat with you. We'll definately have to catch up at another time.
Goodness, I haven't been on this Roll Call in months! Is everyone getting excited to see this new ship?
Karyn
There are 3 kinds of people in this world...those who want things to happen...those that make things happen...and those who just wonder what the hell happened!

Karyn
Hi, Karyn. You bet we're looking forward to seeing the new ship. And we're looking forward to meeting you in Barcelona, too. Anne and I got a chance to meet Joanie for lunch last year in Phoenix and to date we haven't met Owl number two in person yet. Even though we feel like we know so many of the Owls after all this time.
So soon we'll all be nesting together in Barcelona soon. And I can't wait to hear from the folks taking Solstice later this year.
Rick, I guess Bob and I'll be Owl #2 and #3 that you meet since we'll be the first to arrive in Barcelona (on the 4th) and you'll be there the next day. You do arrive on the 5th, don't you?
Karyn, at least we'll have an idea of what the Equinox will be like since we'll be sailing on the Solstice in December.

Rick
I'm sorry we missed you. We didn't know a soul in the room when we arrived and we left saying to each other that it seemed like a friendly group of people. Lots of folks clearly knew each other from other sailings but we didn't spend too long feeling like wall flowers. That was us with the brochure, indeed. Mike (who is usually the more reserved of the two of us, socially) said that he loves those sorts of events because you're in a room of people who DON"T think you're crazy for sailing so much.

Let's face it. Cruising folks are very special and we never run out of conversation.
Hi Bobbie, Garry, Rick, Lee, Karyn, Andrew and anybody else who is peeking in! I'm here too.
Wish we going on the Solstice with you but we will be going on another almost new big ship. We are doing the Independence TA in November, don't think there are any other owls going on it, our friends who were going with us canceled, so right now I think we will only know each other. I'm sure we will have some new cruising friends before the trip is over.
I must be the only other owl besides Rick who has yet to meet a lot of owls. So far, just Fl Ruth, Marytutor and hubby Terry. It seems like I should know a lot of you.
Well, nice to see you both. Hope you're not burned to a crisp, Andrew. Understand it's been a tad warm lately.
Garry, how's the porch? That's always been a dream of mine....a nice screened porch with wonderful breezes and a comfy chair and a great view. Problem: no view except our shared wood fence, no comfy chair and, last but not least....no porch. I hate bugs so we don't do the outside thing.
Some great info on CC Equinox board...about Solstice, but great.
OK...guess we'll just have to wait for the late-comers to return here. Take care, you two.

Bobbie, the porch is great. We have no view either (except shared wood fences), but we have the breeze, the comfy chairs and chaise will be here in a few days, and we have no bugs. It's fun to eat out there and enjoy the mountain fresh air.
Sue, before we sail the Solstice in December, give me a list of "I want to knows" and I'll try to gather information for you!
