Wow, I couldn't agree more. It's downright scary over there. I'm so happy we all know each other already...it's going to be fun.

I don't think they would allow passengers to partake as the molten glass is extremely hot and insurance issues would prohibit it. We just started doing fused glass - it gets up to 1500 degrees and is not completely molten like blown glass which reaches temperatures of 2200 degrees. Can you imagine passengers with no blowing experience handling a 5 to 6 foot rod with a 2200 degree lump of glass on the end on a moving ship?

OK, I don't even have to go to work and I can't keep up over there!! I think it requires staying on the laptop 24 hours a day and I do have other things to do.
Where do I sign up for the FOA fan club

Sue, can you imagine what it's like for Bob trying to keep up and keep the webpage current?

I think all the Owls are automatic FOAs, right Andrew?

Karen, I don't think passengers and glass blowing go together but it sure is going to be fun to watch!

I wish the FOA didn't remind me of a diagnosis we used in the hospital, it was FOS.....let me know if you can't figure that out.

Well, when you put it like this.... ...bad idea, really bad.
Its just that it so facinating and I always wanted to try. But I will be more then happy to watch the demonstration from my spot on the lawn!!!!
I will be going to Murano in Venice this November to watch how they make glassware there. A private tour of Murano was included with the hotel room I have booked.

Regarding the Equinox threads "over there", they move at warped speed and as I only login 2-3 times a week, its a lost case.
Rumors has it too that the TA is almost sold out!????

Chuck, there's a group on the other site that call themselves FOS (Friends of Stan, I think). Hmmmm.

Lars, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Equinox is almost sold out. I've never seen such a booking frenzy as this one has been. I'm hopeful that the roll call over there will calm down soon. That's what usually happens after the initial excitement dies down. I just can't believe that tours and hotels are already being booked so far in advance!

Chuck, if it's what I'm guessing, I hope you didn't tell the patient what the diagnosis was

Garry I think I can imagine all the work that is going into the website, but I try not to because I think it would give me a headache It really is appreciated

We sailed with Stan and Pat in 03, but the fan club(FOS) must have been started after that. That was our first roll call experience, it was a big one, but I think this one will leave it in the dust.

It's nice to see activity here too and a bit more manageable at the same time.

Andrew, I missed it, but you are now a CLF Guide. Well done! OK, I know the drill.........
