In looking at the design of the ship, it seems that there are some drawbacks to the AQ cabins...a large overhang, with large metal stanchions that support the pool deck. Now THAT would be a deterent to me. If, as I've read, Blu will be available to others when folks assigned to Blu use the specialty restaurants, that might be just the ticket.
At any rate, going nowhere from my c2 until reports are in...if favorable, the AQ cabins will be snapped up; if not, I can decide a whole lot later...
And, yes, Phil and Chuck, we've always had great tables in the main dining room, but we've also enjoyed cruising on ships that have smaller more intimate dining rooms, like Cunard. The good news is that, on a 14 day cruise, there's time enough to try all the options.
This really is a lot of fun......one of the things I've thought would be wonderful out at sea, an observation lounge with a few telescopes. The deck plane shows an "Sky Observation Lounge".....I wonder?
Hi Everyone. I thought I´ll pass by and say Hi and Hello.
I am not booked on the Nov 5 TA but the Oct 23 sailing to the Eastern Med..at least for now. its a "few" months away so anything could happen.
I just wanted to ask if someone had booked the b2b (oct 23 and nov5)????
That would be fun as you all look like a great bunch to cruise with.
As for the Equinox I think we all are in for quit a treat. I cant wait!!!

There seem to be a lot of people doing the b2b on CC, but.....I dont really like that site..lol
Currently we are 2 doing the oct 23 sailing and a friend of mine is booking it while she is on the Galaxy cruise which starts tomorrow (03.28)
Garry, I very much agree on the glass blowing. Do we get to partake?? or is it a show/demonstration only?

Lars, I'm not too fond of that site either. It's too BIG!!!! But I'm kinda obligated to be over there since my DH (Bob278) has created and is maintaining the website for the cruise. I try to help him by keeping him alert of any changes, new posters, etc. I much prefer the one over here.
From what I understand, the glass blowing is a demonstration but I'm betting there will be a shop where we can buy some glass.
I bet the glass is beautiful (and expensive). I had a friend study it, very difficult. I hope they are offering packaging and delivery with a gty against breakage. Actually don't know what would be more difficult, them sending or us having to "guard" the piece all the way home.
WELL! Karyn, I need you to do something about this!...there's a group called the Friends of Stan on the DS, and we need to tell them that FOA came first! (don't actually know that for sure! )
At any rate, I'm kidding. The other side is overwhelming, but it seems like most of us are connected by no more than one degree of separation, and with a group that large, smaller groups are likely to form anyway. This will be a nice place to visit, rather than having to study so hard over there...

Andrew, I agree. We have a nice, calm forum to talk. I can't believe all the reservations and plans already! Good heavens!!! So much can happen between now and then.
Poor Bob is going to have his work cut out for him. I think all help will be greatly appreciated.
