Hello - We just got back from Hilton Head and I could not believe how much postings have been going on......did ya miss me?

I see everyone is planning all their cruises for the next few years....always fun to find room for that one more, isn't it?

Hi Sandy. How was Hilton Head? Did you have good weather or was it hot. We've really been under a heat wave here! I love the Atlantic Ocean. Before we discovered cruising, we used to rent a house at Pawley's Island every year.

I just read that they started the third Solstice Class ship today. That must be quite a facility that they use!

Sandy: do you really find there's been a lot of posting? It seems quiet to me.

I'm starting to feel very glad that we took cruise air for this trip. It may be prohibitive to buy new tickets by the time we go. I saw that on the other thread, there was someone touting flights but I'd be nervous to lock into anything at this point, what with the way airlines are reorganizing so much.

    Garry,
Sorry, we've been away for a couple of days and I'm just catching up on posts. We're scheduled for the Radiance from Valparaiso back to Buenos Aires -- just when you disembark (on the 29th of March)! But, we are still playing with the South America issue at the moment entirely -- may put it off and tack it on to an Expeditition Galapagos sailing a bit later.

This would be our first RCCL sailing - and we've got one of the aft corners so we may do it if we can find decent airfare or use FF miles.

Would love to hear all about your trips on Equinox.

    Bobbie,
Don't know what to do with a valet -- are they related to a DH??

It's really dangerous that I have so much free time, now that I'm not working (singing) anymore. I keep finding these irresistible bargains. So many places to see ... so little time!!

My final post - MAYBE - for today (since we're about 6 hours ahead of most of you). Just want to let you all know that we are planning a day-trip (a bus excursion) to the Meyer Werft in Pappenburg on July 1st. Hope we can get close enough to Solstice and Equinox so I can post some pictures for everyone to identifiy their cabin. Keep your fingers crossed!

Sharon, how exciting. I sure would love to be with you for that excursion. I hope you take your camera and take a lot of pictures of the aft!!! From seeeing other pictures, we are really curious about the placement of the railings on the balconies. We're on the bottom (Continental) deck and most of the pictures are taken with the upper decks in mind.

    Sharon,

In my experience a DH doesn't even begin to qualify as a valet. However, they usually have other qualifications. Guess you'll have do with the DH and no valet.

Sharon, Looking forward to seeing your pictures, sounds like a fun trip!
We have booked the Ancient Empires cruise as a b2b with the ta. Is anyone else doing that one also? We couldn't get the same cabin so we will have to move a couple of doors away for the second part, but I think we will be able to handle that
Hope everyone has a great Monday.
