Hello and welcome to all...

Sharon! So nice to see that you've found this quiet corner of the web! Always have enjoyed chatting with you 'over there!'

I'm actually thinking of adding Celebrity air as a hedge against plane ticket prices...as long as we can still cancel if we get a better deal, or have enough mileage for tickets.

But no tours for us. We use the concept of "urban scplellunking." Much more of an adventure, and we always find something new...

Hi to all the old and new faces! Great to see you all here. But, just when I am ready to write off the CC roll call they start talking about one of my favorite subjects, martinis!

I'm with those holding off on advance reservations. Guess I'm hoping that the dollar improves against the Euro within the next year. And that oil and airfare both come down. But using Celebrity air may be a good hedge. Just in case.

BTW, Phil, what is a swing?

Welcome Astrid, Sharon and Sandy. It is easier to keep up here, but it does seem to be getting better on the other thread and Susan, I'd agree. Some subjects I can't keep from talking about

Sue, welcome back. I hope you managed to enjoy some of the nice weather we've been having here. It has gone from Winter straight to Summer.

Oh, Susan, here's a swing:

We always book our cruises especially the transatlantics with cruise air just in case. So far we have found the cruise air for transatlantics will at least match or come very close to air we can find on our own - especially since we only do one way as we stay in Ft. Myers, Florida after and take a cheap Southwest flight home. According to our TA, we can always cancel the cruise air without penalty up unitl final payment.
We will probably be staying in Florida through Thanksgiving after this cruise. Boy it is great to be retired and not have to rush home after a cruise.

Thanks Phil, now I just have to figure out what it has in common with a roundabout.

Hello everyone. I was chatting off-line with a member of your group here and thought I would pop by and say hello. We have also added cruise air as a hedge against travel costs but do hope to find something better (who wouldn't?) before then. You have a very nice group here and I hope to see you all in the martini bar during the cruise.

As someone in your thread said, it's always nicer to cruise when you see familiar faces and friends you may not have met in person yet.

Hi Lee,

Glad to see you over here now. This is the sane approach to an inaugural TA!

BTW, where does the Schplinky come from?? Curious minds want to know...

I am beginning to think that many of us spend more time on the cruise boards than we do anywhere else!

------------------------

Is everyone using the same "handle" here as they do on the DS? It will be difficult to learn two sets of "fake" names for every person who is on both boards

Hi everyone! Bob and I are finally home from our month-long cruise. How nice to see new faces over here and welcome to our roll call. I don't think there's any way I'll be able to read all the posts on the DS! Good heavens, there have been over 1,500 since we left, and from reading a couple of pages, we didn't miss anything except for the "unpleasantness". What was that all about?

I think most of us use the same names on both boards.

It is nice to see so many of the posters I enjoyed over there posting over here!
