Wow!!!! Those are gorgeous! Lars, if we take the Northern Europe cruise again, we'll certainly take you up on your invitation. We're booked through 2009, so maybe 2010 will be the year.

Yes, Andrew. You know where you belong!

Hey Phil, what do you think? Shall we plan far, far ahead and think about doing this in 2010?

Lars, I still think you should be with us on OUR cruise.

I've always wanted to cruise the fjords. My step-mother's family is Norwegian and I have always wanted to see Norway.

Well, I posted on the other board but gave up following the responses after just a few hours. (At least I learned that we will be at sea on the Marine Corps Birthday.) Perhaps it will settle down in a few months and be easier to participate in. Till then, I'm happier over here. Actually, I've always been happier over here!

    Wow,

I'm with the rest of you. The other roll call is over the top. I love making new friends, but that is crazy, besides the ones I already have are the best.

We haven't been to the Norwegian Fjords yet either. 2010 Hmmmm.

It sounds like Lars is going to have to put up extra tables. Lars are you sure you're ready for this crew? We're the best!!! (Ask Char, she'll tell you. )

I would love to do the trans atlantic instead of the Eastern Med or both BUT it all comes down to my partners Cuban passport. I dont think immigration in Florida would be very happy with that..LOL...we are in the process of applying for a Spanish citizenship but it will take 1.5-2 years. But if the passport arrives in time for the TA we´re in!!!
If not it would be fun to meet for pre-post cruise drinks in Civitavecchia!!!

Garry, I'm up for that. A trip to the fjords in 2010 is in my diary Lars, what do they eat as a speciality in Norway? I know it's meatballs in Sweden because they serve them in the restaurant at Ikea

We have our own version called "meat cakes" LOL
But for something truly Norwegian I must say its a Lamb and cabbage stew.
Other specialities are dried and cured meats, lots of fish ofcourse and the "most healthy" meal would be a porridge made with sour cream and cream!!! served with a big spoon of melted butter in the middle of the plate, sugar and cinnamon!! yummi!!

I remember on our excursion from Geiranger to Hellesylt, we stopped at a restuarant in one of the local hotels on the shore of the Nordfjord and I had the best salmon I've ever put in my mouth! My mouth waters every time I think about it!
