Thank you, Chris. I had better get busy and get the house cleaned, everything organized and packed and be ready to leave by Tuesday morning. See you on the ship!

Otherwise, this is it for us...car comes in about an hour and we are ready. Our AA flight is out of JFK at 5:45 if it leaves on time. Here's hoping!

I think we are all very glad you and Larry will be aboard -- those who have already had the pleasure of cruising with you, and those of us who are looking forward to enjoying your company. See you on Thursday!

We arrived in Rome this evening -- weather was a very comfortable 59° (15°) -- and are checked into a very nice room at the Mecenate Palace. Our third passenger, ExtraSeat, enjoyed his 20 kg. luggage allowance! Wasn't 100% sure my idea would work, but after the AirBerlin check-in desk person reconfirmed it with her supervisor, we were given the 20 kg. that went with ExtraSeat's ticket! Saved us a lot of $$$$. (Ticket and 20 kgs.= €29, 20 kgs. at € 8 per kilo = € 160 (almost $240) Almost as good of a savings as switching to a guaranty cabin!

Hope the weather holds for tomorrow and Tuesday, as we are planning to walk our feet off.

Thank you, Sharon! Glad to hear you arrived safely in Rome and will be enjoying all that wonderful city has to offer. We leave Tuesday at 5 from Kennedy and will arrive in Rome about 8:30 a.m. I am so looking forward to meeting you, and to spending hopefully a nice weather day wandering Rome, albeit in a fog of jet lag. Glad to hear your companion, ExtraSeat, saved you a bundle... we are hoping, but doubting, that we might get upgraded to Business class. Well, either way, we will be there in Rome... having frantically packed at the last possible minute.

Susie, you will LOVE Sharon! We have sailed with her and Hugo and when they are in the area we drive down to Orlando to have lunch with them and a few other friends we have sailed with. Absolutely delightful couple and a font of knowledge! Give her a hug for me.

I am so happy to hear that you and Larry will be sailing....even though your heart is carrying concern for Kathi. You just have to leave it in God's hands and know that His perfect will is accomplished in the end.

Susie, it sounds like you and Larry will be turning off the lights here. Tomorrow we'll be spending the day in Florence and will be leaving the Villa early in the morning to catch the train. Just in case I don't get to post, I wanted to wish you and Larry safe travels, have fun in Rome and we'll be anxiously awaiting your arrival to the Equinox. Hugs are waiting!

Thank you! I would guess we will be the last ones out... but that is okay because I need every minute to get packed.

I love Florence... have a gelato for me and do some shopping that I didn't have time to do the last time I was there, okay?! I will look forward to hearing all about your travels when we get together on the ship.
