Garry - As has been the case for the last couple of cruises, we're not even pretending to "pack light". It's two full suitcases per person plus the carry-on to live out of for a few days until we reach the ship.

Susie - As for the packing schedule - some clothes are now staged in the extra closet, and I think all of the tailoring requirements and a few minor wardrobe additions (e.g., Charline bought extra black stockings that she always forgets) have been dealt with.

Where are you in the grand scheme of things?

Good Morning!

Heading out to the mall, Ed decided he wanted a few more polo shirts and I think I want to try to find a pair of isotoner type gloves to take just in case its that cool at one our our ports or on one of our excursions.

Have a Great Day everyone.

Oh, good idea Cheryl. I hadn't thought about gloves and I always have cold hands. I just put them in my stack.

We're down to 9 days now.

Gloves? Yes, a great idea. My hands get real cold too. OK...gloves go in the pile. Anyone taking a cold weather type scarf? Not the pretty silky thing, but the practical warmer thing?

Kind of in limbo right now, Chris. My SIL, who has been ill with cancer for about 8 years now, has taken a turn for the worse and has now moved to hospice care. This has all happened within the last week. We are not sure how imminent things are, but will leave the decision until the very last minute as to whether we will need to cancel the trip. I am still trying to think around packing, but the anticipation is gone for now. I will let you know if we cancel if we do so before you all leave. Wish I could share a happier post, but this is where we are at right now. Hope your packing goes as smoothly and easily as possible.

Oh Sue, I am so sorry to hear this news for you and your family. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Susie - I did post on the cruise line fans site the other day...and it poofed somewhere, so I'll try again here. Tom and I are so terribly sorry to hear about Kathi. Know that you and your family have been dealing with this difficult situation for what seems likes a long time. Hospice is a wonderful organization and hopefully they will give support and comfort to you all. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Obviously, we hope to see you in a few weeks, but know that you will make the correct decision when the time comes. We're sending a huge hug

Gloves might be a good option. As the weather keeps getting colder here, I'm having a tough time even thinking about warm weather clothes for the tail end of the cruise. I'm taking a ruana type wrap to go over a jacket or coat (or as Tom says....to go over everything) if needed. The stacks and piles are getting higher

I really feel like I have one more really productive day...tomorrow...to get most of this done as our schedule next week is getting fuller by the minute. Garry...every time you post your days in single digits I panic

Happy weekend to all the owls

Pat

You know its so odd to think it is coming so very soon after languishing for such a long time. I feel like I am in suspended animation and I won't be ready in time.
