Bob and I leave here in 17 days. We got our suitcases down yesterday to make sure all the zippers worked. I didn't want to have to run out at the last minute and buy a suitcase.
I'll second that!! My luggage will enjoy the lovely weather for a full week before I do!
In FL all week, we're setting heat records - temps in the mid 90s but horrible humidity so the heat indexes are way over 100. No let up at least until next week, mid-week, and then only by a few degrees. I'm so looking forward to something, anything, cooler!!

Ruth, feel free to come here for a visit. We have hard freeze warnings for tomorrow night... highs in the upper 40s, low 50s. Is that cool enough for you?

That's supposed to be cold? Welcome to Frostbite Falls. High tomorrow, 34 degrees, low of 18 degrees! Projected temperature at game time tomorrow, 31 degrees, and down it goes from there. It's tough not to be a "major market" team and get the junky schedules. It will likely be a game to decide only which pitcher can hold onto the ball at those temperatures. I am NOT ready for this! Can we start the cruise early?!?

Edit: Yeah, well. It did it. Photo added.
Chris, is that the golf course behind your house? I bet you won't be playing today. I just saw that the Rockies have postponed their game until tomorrow. Stay warm. Oh, a tidbit for you. Kirk just finished climbing the 1000 highest peaks in Colorado last weekend.

Nope - no golf today. And I'm glad they had the sense to postpone tonight's game. I'm sure the teams are happy about that, too.
Hey, give Kirk my email. Need to drop by and buy that man a beer! Good thing he got it in over the last weekend. I don't think anyone will be climbing much of anything this weekend.

Well Chris- I don't like the looks of that picture. Maybe in February, but not now.
Helloooo Chris....you there or are you still shoveling?
Never picked up a shovel. Around here at this time of the year, the stuff only lasts for a very short time. The sun comes out, and the snow doesn't even melt - it just sublimates - straight from solid to gas. We actually had 81% humidity yesterday. Amazing. Anyway, there's none left on the ground around here now. What little was left last night (and it was nearly none) is long gone.
We will have nice mid-60's through the week and mid-70's again for the weekend.
3 WEEKS left to go. By this time next Monday, we'll be somewhere over the Atlantic.
