    Enchantment out of Baltimore Year-Round!

In case you haven't heard, the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas will begin year-round sailings out of Baltimore beginning in June 2010.

I've attached a copy of the announcement.

The Enchantment of the Seas will join the Carnival Pride in providing year-round sailings out of the Maryland port. They will also join the Norwegian Majesty, the RCCL Grandeur of the Seas, and the Celebrity Mercury, all of which will be offering other part-time itineraries making this a great opportunity for passengers in the Mid-East Atlantic area.

Sorry, didn't mean for that to sound like an advertisement, but needless to say, we're all excited to have so many options available to us in this area. With the economy the way it is and numerous ships available, we hope this will help drive down the high prices we have become accustomed to around here.

It'll be doing a short cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Norfolk in May. Then it'll go from Norfolk to Baltimore in June, so there are no long distance repositionings, just a couple of short ones.

I'm thinking the same thing Susan. Bummer. I was envisioning a nice repo cruise to Baltimore and an hour ride home.

I am excited about having Enchantment here. It's so close to home for us. She was our first ever cruise so she started this wonderful addiction for us. It gives us some other options for sure.

I'm happy the Enchantment will be close to you. We had a fab cruise on her in 2005 right after the stretch. It's a great ship! HAVE A GREAT TRIP THIS WEEK!

Don't know if these are of interest to you or not:

The Granduer of the Seas is doing a repo cruise from Tampa to Baltimore - 14-nights on November 14th - December 3rd.

And the Celebrity Mercury is doing a 17-night repo cruise from San Diego to Baltimore via the Panama Canal.

Thanks for the info... Baltimore isn't the draw for me, it was the Enchantment... but those do look like good itineraries!!!

Per the schedule I have the Grandeur is due to sail to Bermuda on the 14th, the repo cruise leaves on November 19th. Did that change? We are quite excited about the Enchantment coming to Balt. Heard the Enchantment had a 12 night out of Balt but that itin has not been released yet.
I heard there may be other lines coming to Balt too.
