Emerald Princess

Do anyone know why Emerald Princess skip the Antigua port call today (11/2/2009)? She skip this port and going to next port Dominica. What is that reason??

I have moved your question to the Princess forum where the folks who sail on Princess will be more likely to have the answer.

Not sure but it could be weather, this time of year it happens with rough seas.

We were on a back to back last sailing with someone who is doing a back to back now on Emerald ... and sending us some emails.

Yes ... It's totally a weather issue -- EXTREMELY WINDY with High Seas. It's been that way for them mostly since leaving in Feb. 8th.

Such a shame. We had wonderful weather when we were in Antigua a couple of weeks ago -- Jan. 22nd.

Let's hope things will improve and they'll be able to enjoy Dominica!

Bad weather forces cruise ship to cancel

Here's an article from the Antigua Sun on this topic.

The Emerald Princess of Princess Cruise lines was forced to cancel its scheduled call to Antigua yesterday due to the weather conditions.
