Thread: Princess Emerald Carry On Luggage

Does anyone know how large a carry on you can take through embarkation? Can you take a standard suitcase that fits in the overhead in an airplane or are they too large for the metal detectors?

The xray units I saw were quite capable of taking a regular carryon luggage. I wouldn't try anything bigger though.

The metal detectors are the same size on Princess ships as you'll find in airports for carry-ons so you won't have a problem.

When are you going on Emerald Princess? Our Emerald is in January. Can't wait!

I would go by what you could put through the airport security machines. Just remember, you'll have to lift your item and place on the conveyor belt. On our last cruise, we had backpacks, a guitar case and a large duffle bag (for the girl's booster seat, unassembled).
