Red face Sailing Away on the Ecstasy 7-15-06

My husband and I are sailing off on our first cruise this weekend. Anyone else going on the Ecstasy this Sat?? We know that we are going to have a great time just from reading all the posts about the great cruises people have been on. We would also like to meet new people and make new friends. So leave us a message...I promise we don't bite.

Thumbs up We're back - Had a great time!!

Finally got a chance to get back on here and post! We had a great time on board the Ecstasy! They take such good care of you... and the food...well, I think my hubby practically ate around the clock!

It was great to get up and go to breakfast and return to a clean room and a made bed . Then to run around all day not worrying about fixing a meal or answering the phone or anything ... it was wonderful. They said that there were over 800 kids on board , but you would never know it. The Camp Carnival staff kept them entertained and out of trouble. I overheard several excited kiddos talking about their day in the elevators on a cpl of occassions.

Then, you would go to dinner and return to your room to find the bed turned down, a cpl of mints on the pillow, and an adoreable towel creature on your bed. (I took pictures of all of ours, then bought the book ).

The activities were entertaining and so were the shows (finally had to drag my hubby to one). The comedy show seemed to be pretty good too, but I suddenly remembered that I hadn't set our suitcases out for pick up, so we had to leave because I was NOT going to try to drag them off ourselves in the morning .

We had such a good time, that my hubby asked me where I wanted to go for our next one! We have a free R.C. cruise that we won from our timeshare that we will probably take next year. However, we hear it's more formal than Carnival and so my hubby isn't real happy about it. He HATES to dress up. It was hard enough to get him into slacks and a shirt and tie for formal night.

Well, need to go now. I feel like I've written a novel, but we had so much fun and I wanted to post it. Have a great time on your cruise!

Oops! Wanted to clarify the "Bad Idea" on carrying our own luggage off. We had 2 big, heavy suitcases that we didn't want to try and drag onto the elevators (or down the stairs if the elevators were full). However, if you CAN handle your own luggage, you get to get off earlier. So it can be a "Great Idea" if this is the case.
