Has anyone used Bumpiing Tours in Dominica? Would you recommend them to other cruise ship passengers?

Will only suggest you do find SOMETHING to do in Dominica!

There really is so very very little to do in town.

Personally, I don't recommend any tours. Dominica is a lovely island and very easy to get around. I suggest just hiring a cab and letting them take you around. If I remember right, we paid $20 each and had 6 people in a nice van - much cheaper, easier, and less crowded than tours. There are plenty of cabs around willing to take you on a tour of the island - just negotiate the price before you get in. Look for the best deal and the nicest van.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. If I remember right, our tour took about 3 hours and, like I said, was about $20 per person. Price may have gone up since we were there last, but there are alot of taxis at the pier anxiously awaiting you to negotiate with them, so I can't imagine it would be much more then $20 per person. Still beats the price of a shore excursion tour.

But I do recommend a tour around the island as it is very pretty - lots of rivers and waterfalls.

There are a very large number of taxis as you walk off the cruise ship pier -- all anxious to sell you a tour.

Most have signs showing the cost their tours to a place or by the hour. It's a "buyers' market"!

I hope they're taking you around the island in a limousine while providing lunch, massages, and free alcohol!!

To me, that's way too much - as LuLu said, it's a buyer's market and there are a huge number of taxis begging to take you around the island for a tour.

When we were in Dominica last February, a couple sailing in our group paid $30 each for a 4 hour tour -- included the rain forest, time to walk around Trafalgar Falls and Enerald pool.

They loved it.
