Dominica is a hard port to call. The rain forest look like they are an excellent place to go to, on the other hand the whale watching is hard to not do.

Maybe the best idea is to go there twice.

We're planning to go on the ship sponsored Whale & Dolphin Safari Tour when we go this September. Some of the independent companies don't run the tour the day we'll be there which is a Friday. The description for the ship sponsored one states they have the hydrophone equipment onboard and have a 90% chance of seeing whales; we'll see, or maybe we won't??

I'm hoping afterwards to grab a taxi to Trafalgar Falls afterwards, if that's possible?

Neal, you say you've been to Dominica before, if that was on a cruise do you know if taxi's were still by the dock area around 1pm or a little later?

Judy, give them a call anyway. In our case since we had half a dozen people they gave us a tour even if it wasn't on one of the regular days.

Although for us it's just DH and I so I don't know if they'll only take the 2 of us out, but it's worth a call/email. Thanks!
