You can see fish anywhere, but to snorkel over a volcano and see and feel those warm bubbles coming up from the earth--I was in awe!!

Barbara I am giong to Dominica on HAL's Volendam. Did you do the Champage Snorkle with the ship or on your own? If you did it on your own did you prebook or book at the pier?

We booked with the ship. I never book an independent tour that is an afternoon tour as the ship has had to be held for us too many times--and, of course, they wouldn't hold if we hadn't booked with them!!!

As I've said before, I loved this excursion!! The bubbles are incredible!!

The problem is that HAL does not seem to be offering it. Maybe they will on the ship.

HAL didn't offer that tour the last time we were in Dominica -- March 2005.

Maybe things will be different in the fall months.

We took a tour to some of the lesser popular waterfalls. It was wonderful!! We got to do a lot of swimming in the falls! Now that I've heard of all the bacterias that could be in the waters of falls, it's a bit frightening, but we did not get sick or have any problems!! As I said, we loved it!!

I would really like to go to some falls and water pool that is secluded and not over-run with 300 tourists all trying to get there at the same time!
