Thread: Wonder Rescues Sensation Passenger

A man cruising on the Carnival Sensation fell overboard last night, as the ship was returning to Port Canaveral They were about 30 miles off the coast of Port St Lucie at the time.

Over an hour later, his screams were heard by someone on the Disney Wonder, also enroute to a turnaround at Port Canaveral. The Captain asked all passengers (via PA) to be quiet so that the crew could better hear the man's cries, in order to pinpoint his location in the darkness. A rescue boat was then sent out to pick him up and bring him aboard the Wonder.


The man is reported to be in good condition this morning.

Just after the rescue, a passseenger on the Wonder twittered that 'the magic is real.'

You're right. Most are not. The ocean is abig, dark place at night. And not much easier to find someone ini daylight, either!

Good heavens! That is one lucky passenger. I sure would like to hear his story and how he happened to fall overboard.
