Oh wow! It goes out over the side of the ship!
I wonder how clear the view will be on the real thing

Oh Bah-HumBug....
Don't you think the specialized Cruise Line have a duty to continually upgrade their services in tune with the crowd they draw...It would appear, IMHO, that Disney Cruise Line's is just trying to stay ahead of the game.
The travel industry and the cruise industry, as a whole, is going through some specialization and transformation. I think it will bring about more and more specialized levels of service and entertainment on board ship, based upon customer attributes like age, activity preference, lux/budget, etc.
(but, I hear ya, neal!)

But Disney properties are compartmentalized with each doing what it does best. EPCOT does not try to compete with the Magic Kingdom nor with Blizzard Beach. The Disney ships take the idea of Disney to a whole new level at sea and with ships. They should not be competing with the Magic Kingdom for rides.
OK, now I totally get what you're saying Neal....a really interesting conundrum these larger multi-national corporations like Disney run into.
Self cannibalization....it happens in the world of digital/internet marketing all the time. I wonder how much of this effect Disney sees and if it's even noticeable. Do you think it more advantageous, from a business perspective, to try and introduce Disney faithfuls to a new branch of Disney, or grab totally new customers and hope they become Disney faithfuls, as well?

I know these ships were planned before the economy meltdown but my first question would be, like Oasis, how much extra does this cost or is it free?? Disney cruise cost more because it makes a cruise wonderful for kids. Lots of Grandparents take grandchildren on Disney, would they ride this to take the kids on it?? I also know they are adding all these extras to get more money on board, but at this time it could backfire. People are still cruising but cutting back extras to make it happen.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Looks like fun!
Good idea with the video, you can experience the Aquaduck as many times as you like without getting wet!![]()
