Thread: Dream begins taking bookings today!

Disney begins taking bookings from the general public today for its first new ship in a decade, the Disney Dream.

The 2,500-passenger vessel, scheduled to debut in early 2011, went on sale to past Disney passengers last week.

The Disney Dream is scheduled to sail three-, four- and five-night cruises out of Port Canaveral, Fla., to Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.

The Dream's maiden voyage, scheduled for Jan. 26, 2011, will be a four-night voyage, and for the majority of 2011, the ship will alternate between three- and four-night sailings. The ship will switch to alternating four- and five-night sailings during the summer.

I'll bet they get a whole lot of ressies today! I wonder how the pricing is compared to the other ships' itineraries?

Just a note that if you are booking the inaugural sailing you must be prepared to make a non-refundable deposit immediately on the phone. No call you back later. A friend did it and they would not allow her to contact her client later. She had to call immediately while they were on the phone with her.
