I wrote a blog today all about how I think that adults can enjoy Disney cruises without kids. For those who have sailed Disney before, what do you think? Agree with me?

I read your story and it does sound very nice but I recently did some checking on the Disney sailings and found the prices to be out of my range. When I can book a balcony on another line doing the same itinerary for the cost of and inside on Disney that is a bit much. We may give them a try someday is we ever have grandchildren to take along.

I agree; the prices are crazy. We got a great deal on a Mediterranean sailing, but normally it would be way out of our price range. That being said, I will do it again sometime, but you'd better believe I will be searching for the best deal possible!

Nice article! I just posted a link to it on our "Dedicated Disney Cruisers" page on Facebook.
Having completed 14 DCL cruises with NO KIDS (have never had any) and #15 coming up next Thursday (Disney Dream) plus the Disney Fantasy this April and next January (my 16th & 17th DCL cruises), I have to agree with you that Disney Cruise Line is NOT just for kids!
Agreed about the casino, but they DO have adult themed comedy shows. (More adult than I have come across on Royal Caribbean)

Your blog is nice.
Why no allowed black hull for Disney cruise ships? I read that their ships are painted with wery dark navy blue because black no allowed.
I hope she can answer that one. I've always thought it was due to the old maritime superstition that black is unlucky and an "omen of death." But those who truly believe that would never wear black uniforms either, and I believe DCL has both white and black formal uniforms, or at least some black jackets.
Everything I can see says that the hulls are black and it is in homage to Mickey's colors. In fact, the Disney cruise site says that the hull is black. Disney Cruise Line Fun Facts | Disney Cruise Line News Now, the lifeboats are yellow instead of the traditional orange which is different from other ships. They had to get special permission from the coast guard to do so.
Since we are speaking about interesting Disney ship facts, one thing I did notice was that Disney ships have FOUR captains aboard.
